This book has been published in the framework of the Project Gradus. Gender and Decision Making. Steps and Stairs in Civic Society, funded by the European Commission (Community Framework Strategy on gender equality 2001-2005, D.G. Employment and Social Affairs). The project was aimed at fostering a balanced participation of men and women in all levels of decision making, with a special focus on the social and economic sectors.
